Its occurrence may be associated to other skin or systemic diseases and, very often, to drug use; nevertheless, sometimes the underlying cause may not be identified, even after thorough clinical investigation. Preexisting dermatoses, namely psoriasis, air-borne contact dermatitis, phytophotodermatitis, photosensitive and seborrheic dermatitis, and other dermatoses constituted the major etiology.
