To Get Back to Work and Not Die: How to Deal with Post-Vacation Depression

Most people find it difficult to quickly return to working rhythm after two weeks of vacation. In medicine, this is called "post-vacation syndrome." According to statistics, about half of working people after vacations are absent-mindedness, fatigue, headaches, insomnia for a week. The experts recommend to go to bed and wake up earlier for a couple of days after your vacation. This method is suitable for absolutely all ages. A 10-minute charge in the mornings will not only help you to join the working rhythm, but will make you feel cheerful and healthy. Very often on vacation we arrange a "belly holiday", after which all the eaten stuff is extremely difficult to "take" to work. Therefore, it is worthwhile to force yourself to eat at a time and as much like during working hours for a couple of days before work. There are people who have a worsen health status before going to work. Very often this is due to the fact that a person does not get pleasure from what he/she does. The way out is to change attitude towards your work. It is necessary to look at your responsibilities from a different prospective of view. Try to inspire yourself: what you do will help you to better know yourself and other people; any work experience is valuable; even this work will teach you a lot and will give an insight into what you would like to do and what not. In addition, the pay will open the boundaries for the next vacation. It happens that people love their job, but do not want to return after a vacation to work because of strained relations with colleagues or bad conditions. Relaxing is a chance to take a breather, gain strength and ideas for solving existing problems. Try to analyze the situation, delineate the constructive and emotions. Decide on the conversation, create questions and possible answers. This approach will change the state of things. A good way to overcome the "post-vacation syndrome" is to keep a longer rest: organize small holidays, meet with friends, often spend time with your family, prepare interesting dishes.
