New 3D Printer Is Able to Print Completely Functional Human Skin

According to a new study, published in the journal for the International Society for Biofabrication, a team of scientists from Spain developed a 3D printer that is able to print completely functional human skin.completely functional human skin

At the present moment, this new technology of 3D printing is being tested on a number of Spanish patients suffered from skin-related trauma. This new technology is based on the skin substitute containing both dermal and epidermal components, as the real skin.

The scientists believe that this technology can be successfully used for treating burns, chronic wounds, and for speeding recovery from surgical wounds.
