Avocado Seed Husk Can Help Kill Viruses, Treat Heart Issues, and Cancer
A new research from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley finds that avocado seed husk contains a combination of compounds that can help us kill viruses, heart issues, and even treat cancer.
A team of researchers has come to the conclusion of the study by grounding down about 300 dried avocado seed husks and received 21 ounces of powder. Among the compounds of interest in the seed husk oil were behenyl alcohol (used in antiviral medication), dodecanoin acid (boosts “good” cholesterol”, and heptacosane (may help kill tumors).
Study co-author Debasish Bandyopadhyay, Ph.D., says: “It could very well be that avocado seed husks, which most people consider as the waste of wastes, are actually the gem of gems because the medical compounds within them could eventually be used to treat cancer, heart disease, and other conditions.”
