Diet Drinks Hinder a Weight Loss Process

Researchers found that diet soda does not really cause a weight loss. Low-calorie versions of beverages containing sugar, attract millions of people who hope to get rid of a few extra kilos. However, US researchers found that all of these good intentions are broken due to the sweetener aspartame, which violates the metabolism.
During the experiments in mice, it was found that aspartame containing product called phenylalanine, which interrupts the production of enzymes that are very similar to the processes seen in patients of Type II diabetes and heart disease. These enzymes are essential for the prevention of metabolic disorders.
The researchers also found that mice who received aspartame with drinking water gained weight more and had health problems with the metabolism more often than rodents that drank water with sugar. Initially, sugar substitutes like aspartame were created for losing excess weight and reducing the risk of metabolic syndrome. However, an impressive amount of clinical and epidemiological studies suggest that these products are not very well carry out their task and only worsen the situation.
It is proved that aspartame blocks the intestinal enzyme called intestinal alkaline phosphatase (IAP), which had previously demonstrated its ability to prevent obesity, diabetes and metabolic syndrome. That is why aspartame is likely not a worthy substitute for sugar because it simply discards all positive aspects of the IAP.
