Healthy Lifestyle Can Significantly Reduce the Risk of Cancer
It is well-known that some negative lifestyle habits like smoking or long exposure to the sun may raise the risk of cancer. Scientists claim that healthy lifestyle can help reduce the risk of cancer. At the same time, researchers don’t have the final answer to the question of how much exactly you can decrease your risk of cancer living a healthy life.
According to the novel research, changes happening in the human body at a cellular level are the major determinant of whether you get the disease or not. This risk usually increases as human ages, but many cancers seem to be an unfortunate chance and random mutations. The new study says lifestyle factors can play a very significant role in cancer prevention.
These healthy lifestyle habits were included in the research:
- No smoking, or smoking in the past;
- No drinking at all, or moderate drinking;
- At least 75 minutes of intensive, or 150 minutes of moderate aerobic exercise;
- body mass index between 18.5 and 27.5.
