Marine Bacteria Can Beat Prostate Cancer

According to scientists, a prostate cancer can be cured by laser removal of the tumor and drugs, which are based on marine bacteria. However, they have noted that this method is acceptable only for the disease in the early stages. This combined treatment approach has bee already tested by 413 men. Prostate cancer was completely eliminated in half of volunteers.

One of the main advantages of the new method of treatment is that it does not have side effects. For comparison, the traditional treatment of this cancer can cause quite a lot of serious complications. Most often, it is incontinence and complete impotence. Most of the men delaying with treatment until a critical limit because of the high risk of such complications.

The substance, which has been recently tested, is developed on the basis of micro-organisms that live on the sea bottom in almost complete darkness. Firstly, the drug is administered to the patient and then held laser removal of a tumor. The principle of operation is that when the light beam enters to the bacteria, they are activated and destroy cancer cells. Thus, prostate stays completely healthy.

Currently trials of the drug are ongoing. Scientists note that the effectiveness of the new substance works only at an early stage of the disease.
