Scientists Discovered How to Predict a Life Expectancy

Experts have found that the length of telomeres in the chromosomes can set the duration of a person's life. And besides - to determine a woman's ability to have children later in life. A telomeres are the end portions of chromosomes. They protect vital DNA during its doubling, preventing loss of nucleic chains. The older a person becomes, the length of telomeres decreases. According to scientists, this pattern can help lengthen life. It is noted that experts the study is based on the data of Long Life Family Study, according to which, the chances of a long life is greater in those women who have given birth to their last child after 33 years than those who had up to 29 years. The researchers found that women who gave birth to their last child after 33 years, had a longer chromosomal telomere length. Experts also believe that telomeres may also be indicators of health, and a chance to slow aging.
