Sleeping or Light Housework Can Make You Happier

A new study from Ohio State University in Columbus, US, finds that sleeping or performing light housework influences your mood more positively compared to staying on the couch in front of the TV, especially during the period of lockdown.Sleeping or Light Housework Can Make You Happier

For the study, a team of researchers analyzed data from the 2010–2015 Energy Balance Study at the University of South Carolina that included information on 423 participants aged 21 to 35 with BMI values 20–35. Every participant was monitored for 10 days in a row, 24 hours a day.

Lead study author Jacob Meyer from Ohio State University (OSU) in Columbus, Ohio, comments: “With everything happening right now, this is one thing we can control or manage, and it has the potential to help our mental health.”
