Vitamin D Supplements May Cut the Risk of Asthma Attacks
The research including 9 trials with about 1,000 people found that patients with asthma suffering from severe attacks were at the lower risk of an attack if they took vitamin D on a regular basis. Moreover, they were also less likely to take steroid pills and less likely to need a hospital treatment.
The scientists hope that these results can help find new treatment options for300 million people with a chronic respiratory disease around the world.
