China Promotes Traditional Medicine to Treat AIDS

As the Business Standard journal reports, chinese experts are discussing an implementing a five-year project of learning ancient medical practices.

However, this does not mean that Chinese experts want to abandon standard antiretroviral therapy. They are betting on the merger of the West and the East. Moreover, according to officials, the involvement of traditional therapy techniques will significantly save money, without resorting to expensive high-tech care.

The new strategy, according to Chinese experts, will make it possible to reduce the level of infection among homosexual individuals by at least 10%, and mother to child transmission rates to less than 4%.
