In their study, researchers gathered results from around 140 adults who took part and completed their 12-week test. All participants were divided into 3 groups. In the first group, people ate 80g (or about 3 servings) of regular, high-fat cheese every day.
Having analyzed received data, scientists have come to the conclusion that eating full-fat cheese does not hurt the hearts of the participants. Moreover, it seemed to provide some protection from cardiovascular disease and metabolic disease.
This food is still high in calories, so moderation is key. But you can enjoy safely a few slices of cheddar and add some Asiago to your salad without feeling guilty.
